Michaela & Jared: Married

To Michaela & Jared: you are the biggest troopers I know. It was raining like CRAZY on the day that you were married. But you were sports enough to venture out into the weather and take some photos under an umbrella. It was amazing to be a part of the day. It is obvious that you are surrounded by people you love including each other. And you know what they say about rain on the day of your wedding; a lifetime of luck. But who really needs luck when you have a love like yours. I think the toast at the reception said it all: "the only thing that you were worried about despite the weather on your big day - was each other." Many lifetimes of happiness to you both!

Kristi & Bryan: Married

So May was a crazy weather month in Colorado. Lots of rain, snow, thunder, lightning and well...as we all waited with bated breath for summer's arrival, we didn't have very many days of spring-like weather. Except on the day that Kristi & Bryan got married. It was a perfectly beautiful May day. The sun was out and barely a cloud was in the sky. Perhaps it is because Kristi & Bryan have a way about them that the sun just follows them. Perhaps it is because they exude happiness - how could the weather not follow suit? So, Kristi & Bryan...thank you for having me be a part of your day. And here's to your happily ever after!

Snow in Colorado

Mack & Jaime are true sports. And they love Colorado. You would have to in order to venture out in the Colorado snow. Their engagement session was one of our snowiest days this winter. But armed with the biggest umbrella we could find, scarves, and some good old-fashioned huddling, we were able to capture some really fun (and romantic) moments. We started off at the old railroad bridge downtown, then found some fun areas in downtown Denver. I'm so excited to be photographing Mack & Jaime's wedding this summer! Congratulations is in order to the two snow-capped lovers!

Michaela & Jared: Engaged

Michaela and Jared recently got engaged and we celebrated by remembering the moment in downtown Denver. We started at the Denver Center for Performing Arts and then headed to the Hyatt for some fun shots overlooking the city. If you haven't been to the Hyatt, stop by for a drink...it's a fun spot to view everything Colorado. I think Michaela & Jared thought I was a little crazy when I asked them to head up the escalators, but the shots we got were fantastic. I am so excited to shoot their wedding this summer! Congratulations Michaela & Jared!

Ringing in the New Year...

To fireworks and a snow-covered Vail, Jenna & Peter were married at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail. I was thrilled to be a part of the evening celebration! Though the temperatures were barely above 0 degrees, everyone managed to have the time of their lives at the ceremony and reception. It was a quaint evening wedding - just in time to ring in the new year and toast to friends, family and loved ones. Congratulations to Jenna & Peter! May your new beginning bring a lifetime of love & happiness!

An Urban Engagement

Kristi & Bryan are getting married next summer and I am SO excited to be a part of their big day! For their engagement session, we spent the evening downtown, from Riverfront Park to Union Station and the Cruise Room. We captured a lot of fun moments! They are so madly in love that it is easy to capture the emotion in photos. And though we waited for the Union Station festive lights to turn on and never quite got the timing right, we had a picturesque day all around. Congratulations Kristi & Bryan! May we all be so lucky to find that one true love!

Care to Giggle?

There is no one who has made me giggle more throughout an entire session than Gabby Roose. What a ham! At 6 years old, she has more character than anyone I know. Gabby's brother, Max, wasn't immune to her laughing spells (although he tried to be!). Though it was 30 degrees out the morning that we took these photos, who would ever know....you'd be too busy giggling to notice!
